Canned Red Peppers

Canned and preserved red peppers are widely used in Mediterranean cuisine, retail food products, foodservice and industrial food processing. They are commonly offered roasted, grilled, peeled, sliced, whole or prepared in strips, and packed in jars, cans or other foodservice formats.

Among the best-known Mediterranean varieties are Florina red peppers, traditionally associated with northern Greece. They are appreciated for their sweet flavour, thick flesh and suitability for roasting and preserving.
